I spent 20 years trading some of the 20th Century’s finest furniture and design items that might be described as Modernist.

After working closely with international auction houses, my love of design took me back into education at the age of 40.

After obtaining a BDes (Hons) in Interior and Environmental Design at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (University of Dundee) in 2016, I went on to complete an MSc in Product Design in September 2017.

My studies at University included an examination of how 3D printing might be used to aid traditional furniture making.

I experimented with plastic and metal 3D printing in search of new construction, assembly and customisation solutions, designing an award winning dining table and chairs set that was displayed at the Royal Academy of Art in Edinburgh (3-27 December 2016).  A further award winning chair ensued the following year.

I now work as an independent furniture designer planning bespoke pieces of furniture and producing innovative designs for individuals or for manufacture.
